Long Range Precision

COURSE LENGTH: 8 HOURS A DAY, 2 DAYS The Long Range Precision course is taught by a Department of Defense Qualified Sniper. This course is designed with the beginner to intermediate shooter in mind. A previous understanding of basic shooting fundamentals/marksmanship is encouraged. This course will cover rifle anatomy and setup, optics (reticles, ranging, MOA vs. MIL, 1st vs. 2nd Focal Plane, etc.), shot process, communications/talk ons, ballistics (bullet coefficients, muzzle velocity and environmental factors), tools (ballistic software and Kestrel's), and range and wind estimations. Positional shooting techniques will also be taught for prone, sitting, standing and kneeling. You will leave this course with a custom DOPE card for your specific precision system. *Please note that due to the current ammunition shortage, the courses have been adjusted to require less ammunition than what is normally required for firearms courses. If you are able to bring more ammunition, feel free. Required Equipment: - Rifle with Optic - Minimum of 100 rounds of your caliber (any caliber is welcome) * Eye and ear protection will be provided at the course. Optional Equipment: - 2-point sling(s) - Note taking gear - Tripod/Bipod - Shooting mats/bags - Additional magazines, if necessary ___ Private courses for individuals or small groups are available.
